Lived in the Chicago southside for 50 years. Now reside in California. I just die for a good beef sandwich. My most recent visit to Chicago was in August and upon getting off plane and getting rental car, the first thing I did was enjoyed a good sandwich at Portillo's. Found out recently that there is a Portillo's in Brea, CA and it is worth the 125+ miles for a good sandwich. Like the variety of other items as salads, desserts, etc. Great ambience.
Vodvarka may eat here again.
