This is the third time I've been to this Al's, and it's the only exposure to Al's I've had. If this is what started it all, I don't see how the Italian Beef ever took off. Some of the beef was 1/4" thick, very little was paper thin. The gravy was greasy, and the hot giardinerra relish was OK, not great. Just under $9 out the door with a small fry and no drink. This store is fairly new and I hardly ever see anyone there. Nice inside, but it's got a ways to go. I'd eat Italian Beef every day. I WANT to like this, but three strikes and it's out. I'm going to give Al's one more shot, but I'm going to the original on Taylor sometime this week and we'll see if this is par for the course.
