Meh. A good looking beef, but it just doesn't have the right combo of flavors to match up with the best (Johnnie's, etc.) I don't like the consistency of the bun. A good beef, but not great.

i 1st came to notice this during a get together and i was amazed that i wanted to know the name of the place and i went there and it was great they shure know how to make a beef sandwich

Excellent beef. Great bread, great meat, and the giardiniera pretty much sets the standard. Lots of big veggies including nice sized green olives. These beefs come pretty moist even if you don't request it, which is good in my book, who wants a dry Italian Beef? I'd call Buona Beef the gold standard. They should mint an Illinois State Quarter with a Buona Beef on it.

I really like buona beefs good meat,soft bread that comes from the bread factory down the street from the beef joint,the hot peppers could use a little more oil but overall a very good beef also I noticed since ive gone to like 3 other buona beef joints the berwyn one really packs the meat on.

One of the best; very flavorful and zesty with a green olive oil stain in the gravy. I've been going to the stand at Oak Park and 12th St for a long time and it replaced Carms as my favorite and I'd been going to Carms since it was at Cicero and Harrison, a LONG time ago.
