Frankm8895's Review:
Located right off the highway, WiseGuys is a perfect place to drop right in for any occasion whether between trips to the local store, coming from the movies or just to get that authentic Chicago style feast that Central Texas begs for. Soon as you step in you’ll think that you just got picked to be part of a Scorsese film, to us Chicagoans, its home. With the smoothness of the 1930’s prohibition era music filling the air accompanied with mug shots and captured history of the most infamous gangsters in Chicago history on the walls you know you’re in the right place to put a hit on your hunger.
Some can talk the talk and but few can walk the walk when it comes to claims of real Chicago tastes in places that aren’t Chicago. WiseGuys pulls off the walk and talk with cigar in mouth. With real Vienna hotdogs on poppy seed buns, this is the real deal when it comes to getting an authentic Chicago hotdog in Texas, mustard, chopped onions, sweet relish, dill pickle, sliced tomato, & celery salt just like back at home. It doesn’t stop there either because the rest of the gang makes the lineup on the menu with Maxwell St. Polish, Italian beef, Italian sausage and the combo. The Italian beef at WiseGuys without a doubt is the best tasting ever in Texas. Others will say “oh it tastes just like Chicago Italian beef” no, IT IS Chicago Italian Beef. You Chicagoans, who don’t want to spend all that money taking a trip up north, don’t worry about it because Chicago is here at WiseGuys.
Frankm8895 may eat here again.
