Max's Italian Beef - Uptown Overview

Randee and Larry Estes have been a team for 32 years. They started eating at Max's Italian Beef on Western Avenue when they first started dating in 1976. After they were married, Max's became their weekly hang out. One day, while Larry was enjoying his spaghetti and sausage and Randee her beef with red sauce and fries, Larry's Uncle Max told them "we want to sell the business and move to Florida." But, he wanted the name, the menu and the quality to stay the same. The rest, as they say, is history. Randee and Larry took over in January of 1979 and have never looked back. Catering by Max's was a natural extension of Max's Italian beef when customers began asking for beef by the pound for their parties at home. When customers then started asking for accompaniments, Larry manned the front of the house to sell them and Randee the back of the house to create and prepare them. They are now a full service catering company serving everything from Hot Dogs and Fries to Beef Tenderloin with Grilled Vegetables and Twice Baked Potatoes.
