Tommy's Italian Beef - Mount Prospect IL. Overview

We're living our dream! Our family has opened up a little restaurant in Mount Prospect featuring some of the best food made from good, old-fashioned family recipes. Our specialty is the Italian Beef Sandwich which is made using a guarded family recipe, handed down through the generations. We also make our own Italian sausage, meatballs, marinara sauce, soups, award-winning chili and more. Family will always be behind the counter making sure your meal is perfect using only the freshest produce, hand selected that morning. We're not just your average beef joint. Come on in and enjoy some great homemade food, made to order. It might take a few minutes more, but good food takes time and should never be rushed.

The food is excellent here. Love the beef and the fries are outstanding. Check out the specials too. I had the all american special one time - every bite was delicious.

I ordered a beef with hot and cheese dry. The beef was great and the mozzarella cheese was melted over the top of the sandwich. All I can say is that it was Great.

You can tell this place cares when they reach into the pot on the stove to get your beef and not some vat of 40 lbs. of meat that have been sitting there all day. The meat isn't over cooked and grainy, it was tender and hot and plentiful. The juice isn't overly salty either like some of the chains. You can actually see the flavors your tasting on the bread and beef. Overall, a quality sandwich from a quality place
