I've been going to Little Joe's since 1974. I have yet to find a better italian beef or sausage anywhere in the entire Chicagoland area - not Potillo's, not Komb's, not Al's - nothing compares to Little Joe's - not even nationwide. My brother lives in Michigan and he always takes back a big pan of food with him when he visit's.

I ordered my beef dipped, with sweet peppers and put on Joes hot peppers mix at the table.

Great little restaurant. Used to go there in the 70s when I attended LTHS. They didnt have the back addition to the restaurant yet but had a great counter with the hot pepper mix you could put on your beef and dogs. That hot pepper mix is there own recipe and truly distinct and delicious. While there are alot of great beef places in the chicagoland area, I always find my way back to Little Joes as I enjoy them the best.

Top Notch! My favorite spot, and my first stop when I get off the airplane in Chicago. When I get to Chicago, the first stop is Little Joe's any time of day! A Combo the way Italian Beef is supposed to be. They also serve tasty french fries and Tom-Tom Tamales which are both delicious Side offerings to the beef. I fly up about six times per year for Little Joe's beef - the TRUE taste of Chicago! Yummeeeee!

I moved to the La Grange area not too long ago, and have taken the majority of my meatings on the corner of la grange rd and plainfield. on that corner is an al's, kombs, and this place little joes. well, of all 3, little joes is the best. the beef is chopped a bit finer than als and kombs, and is seasoned very well. it's obvious that flavor is subjective, but, in my opinion, these guys have better flavor than either al's or kombs. this place has to be about competition because they are right next to al's and kombs is legendary, but they are doing it right and have the best italian beef in the area. try it!
